Jon Nielsen

Jon Nielsen was appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer in February 2024, after serving as designate in the role since September 2023. In this role, he oversees finance, investor relations, treasury, strategy and corporate development. He is a member of the company’s Executive Management Committee.

Jon has over 25 years of experience in finance and risk management across Asia, North America and Europe. He joined from Asian-based insurer, FWD Group, where he served as Managing Director and Group Chief Financial Officer. Prior to that, Jon was Group Chief Risk Officer for AIA Group, also based in Asia, as well as in senior finance roles. In addition, he has held a number of senior positions at AIG in New York, Allianz in Munich and Deloitte & Touche in the US and Hong Kong.

Jon graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and holds a Master of Professional Accountancy from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
