Mike Dibden

Mike Dibden is Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer at Great-West Lifeco and Canada Life. In this role, Mike has accountability for technology strategy, delivery and governance for our businesses in Canada, United States and Europe.

Before joining Great-West Lifeco in 2024, Mike served as Chief Operating Officer for IGM Financial, a fellow member of the Power Financial group of companies. There, he led the enterprise-wide digital transformation to modernize client and advisor experiences, automate back-office functions, outsource commoditized services and modernize technology platforms. This work was supported by cloud architectures and accomplished by selectively deploying innovative practices such as various forms of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Mike has been a board member for Investment Planning Counsel Inc., Investors Group Financial Services Inc., Investors Group Securities Inc. and Koho Financial Inc. Committed to community well-being, Mike has served on non-profit Boards for Ontario Home and Community Care Support Services (HCCSS) and Central Community Care Access Center (CCAC). Additionally, Mike has been an active Advisory Board member for organizations such as IBM Canada, Bell Canada and Broadridge. 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Toronto and completed the Directors Education Program at the Rotman School of Business, earning the ICD.D designation in 2014.
