R. Jeffrey Orr

Mr. Orr has been Chair of the Boards of Lifeco and Canada Life since May, 2013, and of Empower since July, 2013. He is also President and Chief Executive Officer of Power Corporation and Power Financial, positions he has held since February, 2020 and May, 2005, respectively. From May, 2001 until May, 2005, Mr. Orr was President and Chief Executive Officer of IGM Financial. Prior to joining IGM Financial, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and Vice-Chairman, Investment Banking Group, Bank of Montreal. Mr. Orr is a director of Canada Life, Empower and PanAgora Asset Management, Inc. He is also a director and Chair of IGM Financial, IG Wealth Management and Mackenzie Inc., and a director of Power Corporation and Power Financial. He was previously a director and Chair of Putnam Investments. Mr. Orr is active in a number of community and business organizations.
