Teresa Kilmartin

Teresa Kilmartin was appointed Executive Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Great-West Lifeco in January 2026. She previously served as Chief People Officer for the Europe segment from 2022 and, prior to that, as Chief People Officer of Irish Life Group from 2019. 

Teresa brings over 30 years of human resources experience across a wide range of  sectors, spanning senior leadership roles and management consulting. She has deep expertise in strategic talent development and organisational change, with a strong track record delivering people strategies in the context of major M&A activity and large-scale organisational transformation.  

She is a former Director of Genio, a non-profit organisation that combines private and government investment to scale social innovation, and of Tusla, the Irish Family and Children State Agency. Teresa is currently Chair of the Life Insurance Association, the principal educational body for insurance professionals in Ireland.  

Teresa holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Master’s degree in HR Strategy, and is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD.
